Working with SAG-AFTRA

On Wednesday July 10th, representatives from the SAG-AFTRA office in St. Louis will join the IFC’s regular Wednesday meeting for an information session.

SAG and AFTRA merged nearly a year ago and the new union, SAG-AFTRA, has a strong and growing presence in KC. SAG-AFTRA represents free-lance talent as well as radio and television broadcast talent (and camera operators and editors in some cases). Bill Hendrickson is one of the newly hired local SAG-AFTRA employees who specializes in showing small-budget independent-minded filmmakers how they can “go union” and get access to some incredible talent without breaking their budget. ¬†They will be talking about the differences between the two unions, different types of contracts and the requirements of both!

This is a great opportunity for Kansas City film community to get educated on working with SAG-AFTRA talent and how to make your SAG-AFTRA productions go smoothly.
